Kurt Dunham was born and raised in Burnie, Tasmania and has always had a passion for cue sports following his father, Rod Dunham’s footsteps. Kurt won National Championships in Snooker, 8Ball and Billiards in his junior days before moving to Melbourne, Victoria at age 16 to further his career.

After winning the 2016 Oceania Snooker Championship, Kurt secured a 2 year professional tour card to compete in World Ranking events across Europe and potentially all across the world.

Kurt was recently based in Cambridge, England. Practicing alongside top professionals Joe Perry and Australia's own former World Champion and World #1, Neil Robertson. 

Kurt Dunham turned professional in 2016 as the Oceania nomination for the 2016/2017 season.His two match wins during his first season as a professional were against Alex Borg and Christopher Keogan at the Paul Hunter Classic and Northern Ireland Open respectively.

At the start of the 2017/2018 season, Kurt's world ranking was a career high 94.

Most recently Kurt was runner up in the Bob Hawke AC Australian Open Snooker at Mounties in Sydney. This was followed up the following weekend with a runner up result in the Reventon Masters Snooker.
