Ron Atkins Pot Black Open

Great effort by Victorian Johl Younger taking out the Ron Atkins Pot Black Open Snooker. Johl defeated fellow Victorian Steve Mifsud 6-2 in the best of 11 frame final at the Launceston Workers Workers Club.

Well done also to semi finalists Cale Barrett and Ben Judge and to Steve Mifsud for his 111 highest break.

The consolation plate was won by recent Oceania Snooker Junior Champion Alex Pace defeating Darryl Tippett.

A big call out to all the main sponsors of this fantastic event; Reventon, Pot Black, Tasmanian Government (Events Tasmania) and Launceston City Council. Also to the Tasmanian Billiards and Snooker Association headed up by Rex Swain (supported also by Robert Higgins and David Higgins) and all other officials and referees who assisted this weekend. This weekend was more an event than just a snooker tournament which included a fantastic dinner on the Saturday evening.

Andrew Saltmarsh did an outstanding job for quality live streaming through the course of the event followed through with entertaining commentary by Les Higgins, Chris Christofi and Robby Foldvari.

We look forward to seeing everyone and more back for the 2020 event which will be 3 years running.
