2010 West Coast InternationalAfter a year off in 2009, the West Coast International will return in 2010 at the Pot Black Family Pool & Snooker Centre North Perth, 25th - 27th June.
Neil Robertson is keen to return to Perth and regain the title he was forced to relinquish in 2008 when he was unavailable due to a clash with a professional event in China. This year's event will have a truly international flavour, with players from Singapore and India also expressing interest in competing.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalAny free entries going??
Re: 2010 West Coast International
Hey Adam - any chance you need a referee ??????????? After forking out last year & then it was cancelled - LOL - you know who
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalTell me about it, I had to spend the whole week with the missus.
Some players got a Little reimbursement, some didn't..
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalHi to All Players
Please find the attached Entry Form and details for the 2010 West Coast International – an ABSC National Ranking Event - at www.absc.com.au/entry-forms.shtml. The BSAWA has now secured sponsorship funds to ensure that the event is confirmed to be staged with a minimum of $8000 prize money. The West Coast International is the only National Ranking event that is staged in Western Australia. The keen support and commitment from interstate players would greatly appreciated by the BSAWA to ensure a successful 2010 tournament and for the encouragement of our sponsors to continue their support in 2011 and onwards. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible this June enjoying both our sport of Snooker and a visit to Perth! So get those entry forms in! Happy Potting! Mike Peachey BSAWA Publicity Officer

Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalPlease be advised that the playing conditions for this year's West Coast International have been changed. The entry form now reads:
Referees will be supplied for all matches. Losing players will not be required to referee www.absc.com.au/entry-forms.shtml

Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalUmm Luke, I didn't realise you won a lot of prize money
Re: 2010 West Coast International
I can video record the final... for airfare and accommodation.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalThanks for the offer, but we'll have to decline.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalDon't know where you get your fligth from Luke, but I did a quick search and could get flighs for $340 return...
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalVinnie and i had alook it was like 560 return with virgin
cheaper flights were with tiger but pfft i aint jumpin on one of them
Re: 2010 West Coast International$430 or so with Jetstar (inc luggage).
I wouldn't recommend Tiger to anyone, I've heard of people being charged an extra $50 each way to take a cue, so there goes any savings on the flight!
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalQantas sale on now - $199 one way SYD-PER, for flights in June. Sale ends midnight Thursday 20 May.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalIs that for the whole of june Adam ? The specials from brisbane end on wednesday the 23rd of june
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalYeah, only Sydney gets it for the whole of June for some reason (I guess to do with school holidays?)
Melbourne is the same, only goes till 23 June, so I didn't bother mentioning it.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalYep, school holidays start up here that weekend.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalI want to play in this but airfare is very steep, to book now will cost $550 return.
Re: 2010 West Coast Internationalis there a confirmed amount of players yet for this or not
Re: 2010 West Coast International
Entries are lower than we would have liked at this stage. I can't give an exact number until I get home from Melbourne after the Australian Billiards and check the PO Box. Entries have been extended until Monday 21 June - if anyone is interested, get in touch with me.
Re: 2010 West Coast Internationalyeah I won't be going, worked out that it will cost me at least $1000 to make this trip if I went.
Am I the only tightass out there who thinks that's too much to spend to go to a tournament?
Re: 2010 West Coast Internationalno henry your not being tightass!
im goin cause obviously if i play well im a chance of winning but also i used my qantas flyer points and also a good friend of mine lives around the corner from the venue so yeh... but i would be thinkin twice if i has to be payin for the usual hotels and flights

Re: 2010 West Coast Internationali played today at pot black and must say biggest pockets i have ever seen in my life. i made 3 tons on a table today(playing on my own) but it is the match table.if the pockets are that big on the match table i can only imagine what the other tables are going to be like
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalHuss, you're just discovering how nice it is to play on new 30oz cloth.
Re: 2010 West Coast InternationalSo after bagging the tables, Hassan did make a century, but lost 4-3. Oh dear. The other casualty was James Mifsud, taken out by the perennial dark horse, Peter McCullagh.
