Newcastle Snooker Comp - 20th March 2010. (Scratch)

This is an early heads up for The Adamstown Memorial Shield Scratch Comp (First 32 entries only) that will be held in the Newcastle Area (at 2 clubs - 7 tables) on Saturday 20th March 2010.

Details will be posted on this site once Ron has received them with our Rego fee. (hope to be this weekend at latest)

We will be holding the top and bottom halves at 2 clubs (first 2 rounds only) in order to get the comp done on the 1 day and thus enable those from North & South of Newcastle, who wish to take part, to do so without taking ALL weekend.

Quaters finals onwards will be held at The Adamstown Club - Snooker Club.

Entry fee will be $40 - $50
Winner $700+
R/Up $300+

Depending on the sucess of this format we would like this to be the start of regular comps back in Newcastle.

Snooker is a great game but we should remember that there are other great things to do on weekends in this country - Hence the reason for getting together with a sister club to increase our table options and get the comp run and won.... in one day!

You should call Ron and get him to put up on the BSA calendar given you have mailed the affiliate payment. Should not have to wait.

Ok Alex - will do. I'll Send Ron the dates etc. but PDF flyer and entry form will have to be tomorrow as we are hoping to add a final Sponsor to the event to increase the prize money and make the success of this event something worth adding to Ron growing Calendar.

Yes, congratulation to Shawn Budd for winning this event 4 - 1 against Rob Elsley. High Break was Shawn with 108! Well Done, I heard the event was well supported and was very very popular. Cheers.
